HELENA, Mont. (AP) - A 40-year-old Lincoln woman has died of head injuries she suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Heather Terman was moving her ATV across the parking lot at a saloon in Elliston on Saturday with her right foot on the running board and her left knee on the seat. Trooper Cherie Lofton tells the Independent Record (http://bit.ly/Txhkgc ) that Terman was somehow distracted, then realized she was about to hit a parked vehicle.

She turned the handlebars quickly to avoid hitting the vehicle and fell and hit her head.

She was airlifted to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, where she died Sunday afternoon.
