WASILLA, Alaska (AP) - A Palmer man with two previous convictions for driving under the influence has been arrested again, this time on a felony charge.

Alaska State Troopers say 28-year-old Joshua Griffiths was arrested early Tuesday morning and jailed at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $5,250.

Troopers say an officer at 4:44 a.m. spotted a vehicle driving 89 mph in a 55-mph zone on the Parks Highway near Wasilla.

The vehicle stopped and the officer saw the driver and a passenger switch seats. The officer determined Griffiths had been driving. He was also charged with driving with a revoked license.

The passenger was charged with hindering prosecution and allowing an unlicensed driver to drive.

Griffiths remained in custody Wednesday.
