OVERTON, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say two people from Ontario, Canada, have died in the collision of a car and semitrailer on Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, about four miles west of Overton. The patrol says a westbound semi crossed the median and hit the eastbound car.

The patrol says the occupants of the car were killed. They were 74-year-old driver Bruce McPhail and his wife, 76-year-old Ruth McPhail.

Two occupants in the semi were taken to Lexington to be treated for minor injuries. They were identified as 50-year-old Jeremiah Ngengi, of SeaTac, Washington, and 41-year-old John Seals III, of Charlotte, North Carolina. The patrol says it does not yet know whether Ngengi or Seals was driving the truck.
