BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) - Police say at least eight schools in Bristol have received bomb threats recently and three students have been arrested.

Two 10-year-old girls were arrested - one in connection with a bomb threat Wednesday at the Stafford School; the other in connection with a bomb threat Thursday at Edgewood Elementary School.

Police say each girl has been charged with falsely reporting an incident, threatening, reckless endangerment and breach of peace. Police say they confessed; their cases were referred to juvenile court. Also, a 13-year-old student was arrested in connection with a threat Wednesday at Chippens Hill Middle School.

Other threats have been reported at Green Hills School on Thursday; St. Paul Catholic High School on Wednesday; Northeast Middle School on Tuesday; and Bristol Eastern and Bristol Central High School last week.
