LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Wyoming is hosting a gathering of higher education officials from around the state to discuss the needs and challenges faced by military and veteran students.

The conference is set to start Monday evening and last into Wednesday and is the first of its kind in Wyoming.

It will be attended by representatives from UW, Wyoming’s community colleges and technical schools.

Discussion will focus on the increasing number of veterans on the state’s college campuses and how Wyoming institutions can better serve and meet the unique challenges faced by these students.
