STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State’s Nick Miller has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Midwest Region Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year.

Miller is the third Cowboy to win a USTFCCCA Regional Track & Field award and is the first field athlete to do so in OSU history.

Miller is a junior from Carlisle, United Kingdom, and enters the NCAA Championships as the collegiate leader in the hammer throw, after winning the West Region and Big 12 hammer titles.

Miller has thrown the hammer more than 70 meters at five different meets - including four times at the Big 12 Championships.
