MCHENRY, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in northern Illinois have identified a 49-year-old man who died after going missing while swimming with friends in McHenry County.

The McHenry County Coroner’s office says William Trybula of Melrose Park died Sunday evening. An autopsy revealed findings consistent with drowning and that toxicology results are pending.

The office says Trybula was one of three people swimming together in Pistakee Bay on the Chain O’Lakes near McHenry when he failed to return to their boat.

Authorities were called and the Chicago Sun-Times reports (http://bit.ly/1kSmy2j ) the man was found submerged in the water and pronounced dead at a McHenry hospital.
