SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Five Syracuse players recovering from injuries are going to miss spring football practice.

Head coach Scott Shafer says Tuesday that linebacker Luke Arciniega, defensive lineman John Raymon, safety Durell Eskridge and offensive lineman Nick Robinson are out due to lower body injuries, while defensive lineman Kennedy Kodua is out with an upper body injury.

Shafer also says kicker Ross Krautman and quarterback Mitch Kimble, both recovering from lower body injuries, will be limited during spring ball, while offensive lineman Ivan Foy has been suspended because of academics.

There is some good news. Wide receivers Keenan Hale and Adrian Flemming and defensive lineman Donnie Simmons will participate in spring practice after missing the 2013 season due to injury.
