ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia’s attorney general has set a goal to collect a million pounds of food for an annual statewide food drive competition among the state’s lawyers.

Attorney General Sam Olens launched the third annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy Tuesday at the state Capitol. The food and funds raised during the food drive benefit the state’s seven regional food banks.

The law firm or legal organization that collects the most food per employee wins the Attorney General’s Cup. Olens will also present a special award to the law school that collects the most per person.

Last year’s food drive collected food and funds equal to more than 842,000 pounds of food.
