TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. (AP) - State police investigators say they’re hoping to speak to the person or persons who would have had contact with an 18-year-old college student who disappeared in the Adirondacks while home on spring break two years ago.
Authorities say Colin Gillis of Tupper Lake was last seen walking along state Route 3 between his home in Tupper Lake and Piercefield early on the morning of March 11, 2012. A student at SUNY Brockport in western New York, Gillis was home for spring break when he went to a party and never returned home
Extensive searches in the woods around Tupper Lake have turned up no sign of him.
Troopers say the investigation has also focused on the people who would have interacted with Gillis the morning he disappeared and haven’t reported that contact to state police.
