NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - PATH service is suspended between Newark and the Journal Square station in Jersey City.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says strong winds damaged a Conrail overhead wire pole that's leaning over the tracks just west of Journal Square.

A crane is being brought in to make repairs.

NJ Transit is honoring PATH tickets of trains from Newark into New York City. PATH will operate additional trains between Journal Square and 33rd Street and the World Trade Center.
