EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Malik Morgan had 21 points and nine rebounds and Churchill defeated Bend 70-49 on Thursday in the OSAA Class 5A boys tournament quarterfinals.

Second-seeded Churchill (24-2) will play Madison in the semifinals Friday at Matthew Knight Arena. The No. 14 seed Senators (19-9) defeated Sherwood 55-46 in an earlier quarterfinal.

Top-seeded Jefferson (24-1) will face West Albany (21-5) in the other semifinal. The Democrats held off Wilsonville 51-49, while West Albany downed Eagle Point 56-41 in the early quarterfinal games.

Jacob Parsons had 14 points in the loss for the seventh-seeded Lava Bears (17-8), who trailed by as many as 27 points.

Aubrey Stephens had 21 points and Mak Hutson added 18 for Madison, which won its sixth straight. The Senators led by as many as 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Lucas Johnson had 13 points for the sixth-seeded Bowmen (20-6), who were making their first tournament appearance since 2008.

Kadeem Strickland had 18 points and Silas Melson added 17 in Jefferson’s 20th straight victory. The Democrats’ only loss this season came against Washington State’s Rainier Beach back on Dec. 28.

Freshman Zach Reichle had 14 points for the Wildcats (19-7), including a 3-pointer that pulled Wilsonville within 49-47 with 22 seconds left in the game.

Strickland made a pair of free throws for Jefferson before Tyler Hieb had a layup for Wilsonville with 2 seconds to go, but time ran out on the Wildcats.

JJ Stewart had 14 points to lead West Albany, which led the whole way against Eagle Point (21-5).

Jorge Quintero led the Eagles with 15 points.
