MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Cassie Askvig posted a game-high 19 points to lead Minot to a 57-52 win over Bismarck in a North Dakota Class A girls state semifinal basketball game Friday.

Askvig’s first-half performance helped the Majettes (16-8) to an 18-6 run that grew to 31-22 at halftime. She was 4-for-6 from the field and picked up 13 points and five rebounds. McKale Duttenhefer hit 2 of 3 from 3-point range for eight first-half points. Sophie Bengson added 11 points.

The Demons (20-3) were led by Keisha Engelhardt who collected 16 rebounds and scored 15 points for the double-double. She shot 6-for-13 from the field and was 100 percent from the free throw line. Courtney Trolliey had a team-high 17 points and Kylee Leingang added 12 points.
