Butler, No. 1 in The Associated Press’ final regular season poll, made seven 3-pointers in the first half and led 31-11 with 6:21 left in the second quarter before Ashland Blazer went on a 19-7 run to trail 38-30 at halftime.
Butler (32-3) held Ashland Blazer to 24 percent shooting in the second half and hit six straight free throws in the final minute.
Lawrence had six rebounds. Breia Torrens added 14 points.
Haley Sue Foutch had 16 points for Ashland Blazer (27-9).
