MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Taylor Rolfs hit a game-winning midrange jumper with 1.4 seconds remaining as Central Plains capped a perfect season, edging Jefferson County North 47-45 Saturday in the Class 2A state title game.

Reagan Phelan led Central Plains (26-0) with 17 points and Janae Ryan scored 15 on five 3-pointers. Rolfs added nine points.

Tied at 45 with 4.6 seconds left, the Oilers inbounded the ball and found Rolf for the clutch shot. Jefferson County North’s Jacee Kramer missed a half-court heave as Central Plains held on.

Central Plains trailed by as many as eight in the first quarter and was down by a point at halftime. Each team scored just six points during the third quarter before Central Plains rallied in the final period.

Kramer scored 20 points to lead Jefferson Country North (25-1).
