RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Logan Reynolds scored 20 points and had six rebounds to lead Central-Wise past Gate City 47-38 on Saturday in the Virginia High School League’s 2A girl’s state championship.

The Warriors (24-6), who had lost all four previous games against Gate City this season, won the offensive rebound battle 15-8 and the turnover battle 19-4 on the way to their first championship in girls’ basketball.

Jordan Gose led the Blue Devils (25-3) with 11 points, and Morgan Gose had nine.

Reynolds was scoreless in the first quarter, but the Warriors rallied when she heated up and finally went ahead early in the fourth quarter.
