PARK CITY, Kan. (AP) - Mitchell Ballock scored 20 points and Andrew Ballock added 19 with five assists, pacing Eudora past Scott Community 71-58 to claim the Kansas Class 4A-2 state title on Saturday.

Eudora (19-5) held a 36-23 halftime advantage and pushed that lead to 17 in the third quarter, but Scott Community stormed back to make it 50-48 going into the final quarter. Eudora shut the door on Scott Community (21-3) in the fourth, holding them to 10 points and pulling away.

Eudora shot a scorching 61.9 percent from the field, with Austin Downing scoring 14 points and Zachary Scroggin chipping in 11.

Brett Meyer led Scott Community with 22 points and Trey O’Neil had 15 with eight rebounds. Scott Community had won the previous three state titles.
