HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Justin Ross scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures as Jonesboro won its first state title since 2007 with a 66-54 win over Little Rock Parkview in the boys Class 6A championship game.

The Hurricanes (29-3) led 19-9 after the first quarter and never trailed after that on their way to winning the school’s 11th state championship.

Ross was 8 of 8 at the free throw line. Marquise Pointer added 14 points and 12 rebounds for Jonesboro, while Bradley Sherrill, was who 3 of 3 on 3-pointers, finished with 13 points.

Daryl Macon led the Patriots (27-2) with 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Jaylen Franklin added 10 points.
