WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - New Castle County is launching a new website that aims to be more user-friendly and provide more information.

The News Journal reports (http://delonline.us/1fEIWUL) that the new site is launching this week.

County Chief Administrative Officer David Grimaldi says the current site seems like it was designed for government insiders, not the average taxpayer.

But the new site, which focuses on answering people’s questions, includes a “How do I .” icon that allows users to find out how to pay a ticket, report misconduct to police or check on their tax statuses.

The website will allow people to create their own apps for information on the site. Users will also be able to sign up for updates on topics that interest them, whether it’s building projects or police and fire news.
