FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Farmington Hills-based Weight Watchers has been named Gov. Rick Snyder’s Fitness Outstanding Healthy Workplace Diamond Level Winner for 2014.

Weight Watchers chief executive Florine Mark says “everyone involved” benefits when employees are healthier. Weight Watchers says it offers several health and fitness programs “to encourage its employees to get healthy.”

The group is among 62 state residents and groups being honored April 24 at the 2014 Governor’s Fitness Award Gala Celebration at Detroit’s Ford Field.
