ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - Four players scored in double figures as Ethan ended White River’s two-year reign with a 73-62 win over the Tigers on Thursday at the South Dakota Class B boys basketball tournament.

Blake Bartscher went 16-for-18 from the line and finished with 23 points for the Rustlers (21-3), who shot 53 percent from the field. They also made 30 of 37 free throws.

The Rustlers held the two-time defending champions to 41 percent shooting.

Jace Connor had 18 points, Camden Myers 17 and Tyler Myers 11 for Ethan.

White River (19-5), which had played in six straight state championship games, got 22 points from Tavis Burbank and 12 from Justin Prue.
