LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Tucker Sine scored 18 points to lead Bowling Green to a 64-58 win over McCracken County on Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Kentucky Sweet 16 boys state basketball tournament at Rupp Arena.

The Purples (29-6) will play the Bardstown-Covington Catholic winner in the state semifinals at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Kentucky Mr. Football Nacarius Fant followed Sine with 12 points. Fant scored eight points in the first half. Sine made two crucial treys in the fourth quarter and 11 of 14 free throws.

The Mustangs (25-9) won the 1st Region title and went 1-1 in their state debut.

Kam Chumbler led McCracken County with 17 points, while Jared Burnett added 16. Burnett made three 3-pointers and scored nine points in the first half for the Purples, the Region 4 winner.
