Marsha Coats may have a disappointing Christmas thanks to her husband, Sen. Dan Coats, Indiana Republican, being on a list of lawmakers sanctioned by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Mr. Coats tweeted out a list Friday morning of 10 things he won’t be able to since he’s been banned from Russia. No. 6 on the list? “I won’t be able to buy Marsha a Russian mink coat for Christmas.”

The latest round of sanctions came out Thursday and many lawmakers took pride in making the list and continuing to fight against Russia. Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, was especially vocal, joking that it meant he’d have to cancel his spring break in Siberia.

Other things Mr. Coats will miss out on include not being able to complete his granddaughter’s Russian doll collection, missing out on slushy skiing in Sochi and having to cancel his match with Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova.
