FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Central Cass held off Beach to win 33-22 and take third place at the North Dakota Class B girls basketball tournament Saturday.

The Squirrels (24-3) shot 15-for-53 from the field and were 0-for-6 from 3-point range. They led 12-8 at the break despite making just 6 of 29 shots in the first half.

Faith Dooley had six of her 11 points in the first two quarters. She also collected a game-high 18 rebounds and made five of the team’s 15 shots. Abby Cramer added eight points and Alissa Erickson had seven rebounds.

The Buccaneers (23-4) got eight points from Hailee Farstveet and six points from Taylor Abraham. As a team they shot 6-for-55 from the field and made just one of 21 3-point attempts.
