ELKHART, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana maker of recreational vehicles that recently shuttered its operations is auctioning off the company’s remaining inventory.

Monaco Coach had been a major producer of travel trailers and fifth-wheel recreational vehicles. The company closed its 200,000-square-foot Elkhart plant last month, idling 85 workers.

The South Bend Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1oLMSdh ) that Tuesday’s liquidation sale will be held at the Elkhart plant site and includes enough inventory to run production for weeks.

Items to be sold include work-in-progress RVs, finished RVs, flat-screen TVs, Blue-ray home theater systems and six-gallon water heaters. The site also includes a large amount of plumbing fixtures, microwaves, windows and doors of various sizes.

A preview of the items for sale will be held Monday.
