RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The State Farmers Market is marking its annual Arbor Day celebration with exhibitors who will distribute 1,500 free seedlings to visitors.

The celebration scheduled for Saturday also includes demonstrations from forestry experts and hands-on activities for youth. In addition, the N.C. Forest Service will present awards to winners of the 2014 Arbor Day photo contest.

The N.C. State University Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources is hosting the celebration.
