Moore and Zobrist teamed for an exciting defensive play in the first inning, though it didn’t result in an out. Mikael Franco hit a line drive up the middle that Moore just barely got a glove on. After the deflection, Zobrist collected the ball on the shortstop side of second base and threw to Forsythe at first. Zobrist’s throw would have been in time had Forsythe not stepped off the base early.

“It’ll definitely wake you up a little bit more than you already are,” Moore said. “The fact that he called him safe shook me up a little more. I don’t know how I got my glove on that.”
