ANALYSIS/OPINION:

“McAuliffe Cabinet in limbo” (Metro, Feb. 28) immediately brought to mind the childhood sayings “It takes one to know one” and “Birds of a feather flock together.”

How sad for the commonwealth of Virginia that the McAuliffe scandals documented in the run-up to the 2013 elections were never fully investigated.

The website watchdog.org lists 72 reports of Terry McAuliffe’s alleged business malpractice, from EB-5 visa violations for money to the unfulfilled financial-investment payback promises made to the small Mississippi town of Tunica.

Now is the time to complete all of the investigations started or pending relative to both Mr. McAuliffe and Commerce Secretary Maurice Jones. Growth of the American economy is wholly dependent on sound business principles and the integrity of our free-enterprise system.
