WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - A rear-end collision in Williams County involving a Ford F-650 work truck and a semitrailer killed a Wyoming man and resulted in a saltwater spill.

The Highway Patrol says the crash happened on U.S. Highway 2 about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the work truck, 51-year-old James Waldhart of Laramie, Wyo., was killed. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.

The patrol says valves on the semitrailer were damaged and about 100 barrels, or 4,200 gallons, of saltwater spilled into the ditch. The state Health Department was contacted to oversee cleanup. Saltwater is a byproduct of oil production.
