MACON, Ga. (AP) - Torrico Simmons scored 18 points to lead Wilkinson County to a 72-64 win over Turner County in the GHSA Class A boys state championship game at the Macon Coliseum.

The Warriors won their second consecutive Class A public school championship and seventh state championship overall on Thursday.

Quantavious Jones added 13 points for the Warriors. Shaquil Baldwin led Turner County with 18 points.

Wilkinson County (27-6) missed 11 free throws in the final two minutes as Turner County cut a 10-point deficit to two points with 11 seconds left in the game.

But the Rebels (26-5) missed five straight free throws in the final minute. The Rebels were trailing by two points when they turned the ball over without getting off a shot in the final five seconds.

Wilkinson County added six points from the foul line after three technical fouls were called against Turner County.
