NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - The Northwestern State International Chorale began a European concert tour Saturday.

The tour will run through May 17. The ensemble will be conducted by director of choral activities Burt Allen.

The 22-member International Chorale will perform at St. Nicholas Church in Prague, at the Bratislava State Conservatory in Slovakia and at the Schönbrunn Palace Chapel, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and St. Peter’s Church in Vienna.

The ensemble will perform works by American composers William Billings, Michael Hennagin, Stephen Paulus, Moses Hogarn, James Taylor, Jean Berger and Joshua Shank along with English composers Andrew Carter and Louis Halsey. They will also sing compositions by Quirino Gasparini and Mozart.
