COMMERCE CITY, Colorado (AP) - Marvin Chavez scored two twice against his former team as Chivas USA ended an eight-game winless streak with a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Sunday.

Erick Torres opened the scoring with his eighth goal of the season in the 56th minute for Chivas before Torres’ header beat goalkeeper Clint Irwin to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Chavez, who made two appearances for Colorado last season, beat Irwin in the 67th minute and again off a cross in the 76th minute.

At Portland, Oregon, Diego Valeri scored in the final minute of stoppage time to give the Timbers a 1-1 draw with the Galaxy, shortly after Robbie Keane’s header appeared to give Los Angeles the win.

Los Angeles peppered Portland goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts with shots all game, but couldn’t break through until Keane’s fifth goal of the season.

Javier Morales scored three times to lead Real Salt Lake past a 10-man Houston Dynamo 5-2 to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 games to start the season.

Alvaro Saborio added a goal, and Luke Mulholland scored late in the second half for Salt Lake, while Mark Sherrod scored twice for Houston.

New England’s Diego Fagundez scored two first-half goals as the Revolution thrashed the Western Conference-leading Seattle Sounders 5-0.

Fagundez scored his first two goals of the season in the 29th and 41st minutes for the Revolution.

Rookie Patrick Mullins, making just his third appearance, scored his second goal in as many matches to put New England ahead in the 14th minute.
