PLYMOUTH NOTCH, Vt. (AP) - The President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth Notch is hosting a new exhibit to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War

“The Coolidges, Plymouth, and the Civil War,” opens on May 24.

It looks at the Civil War from the perspective of the Coolidge family and their Vermont neighbors, many of whom had sons serving as Union soldiers. The exhibit includes letters, photographs and personal items on loan from private and public collections.

The Vermont Division for Historic Preservation also will hold a Civil War-based lecture series at the site this season, with the first lecture planned for June 28.
