NEW CASTLE, N.Y. (AP) - A town official says food TV star Sandra Lee was late getting building renovation permits for the home she shares with New York’s governor.

The Journal News (http://lohud.us/1mdxpTd ) says Lee purchased the $1.2 million six-bedroom home in New Castle in 2009 and has been fixing it since.

Town Building Inspector Bill Maskiell says it took six months of “chasing and threatening” in 2012 to get Lee to obtain a permit for a gazebo and shed she’d installed.

Maskiell also said any interior structural changes would require a permit. Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office says none of those renovations were structural.

Maskiell was previously named along with the town and Westchester County in an affordable-housing complaint that the federal government is investigating in the pricey New Castle hamlet of Chappaqua (CHAP’-uh-kwah).
