COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - State officials are investing in upgrades to a southwestern Ohio park selected as the site of the 2015 USRowing Club National Championships.
Most improvements will be made in time for the event at Harsha Lake in East Fork State Park in Clermont County.
The director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the state will invest in a new beach house to replace flood-damaged shower houses. Director James Zehringer says other improvements include outdoor vendor space, upgraded camp sites and improvement to the lake access road.
Zehringer says the cost hasn’t been determined because the project hasn’t been put out for bids.
Other upgrades will include new docks to accommodate kayaks and canoes.
The funding will come from state money that is being shared among Ohio’s 74 state parks.
