1. AT LEAST 4 DEAD IN TOUR BUS CRASH NEAR CALIFORNIA-ARIZONA STATE LINES

Authorities say at least four people were killed and several more suffered serious injuries when a passenger bus overturned on Interstate 10 in Southern California near the Arizona border.

2. MOTHER ARRESTED IN SLAYING OF 3 SMALL DAUGHTERS WAS COVERED IN BLOOD

Detectives say there were several knives recovered at a bloody scene in Southern California where a mother has been arrested in the killing of her three daughters all three years old or younger. But they say it’s not clear how the three girls ages three years, two years and two months were killed.

3. ‘SHIELD’ ACTOR ARRESTED IN WIFE’S KILLING APPEARED TO BE DOTING FATHER

Michael Jace projected the image of a doting, hands-on father and husband to neighbors, but authorities are now trying to determine what prompted the veteran actor to tell police he shot and killed his wife while his young sons were in the home.

4. SACRAMENTO MAYOR SAYS ARENA APPROVAL ‘A COMEBACK FOR THE AGES’

Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson led the City Council in approving a $477 million arena for the Kings NBA franchise late. The mayor and former NBA All-Star immediately hailed the project as “a comeback for the ages” for the city.

5. LA COUNTY COMMUNITY CAN SOUND OFF IN FAR-OFF HEARING ON SERIAL RAPIST

After months of writing letters and signing petitions, community members of a sparsely populated area of Los Angeles County will finally have a chance to be heard by a judge who they feel has unfairly decided to dump a serial rapist into their midst. But the hearings on the case are in Northern California.
