WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Wake Forest and Xavier have revised their schedule for the Skip Prosser Classic.

Officials at both schools announced Wednesday that the teams will play in Winston-Salem this season and in Cincinnati in 2015-16, with the series taking two years off after that and resuming in 2019-20. It will then repeat indefinitely in four-year cycles.

It started in 2009 to honor Prosser, who coached at Xavier from 1994-2001 and at Wake Forest from 2001 until his death in 2007.

Wake Forest athletic director Ron Wellman says Prosser’s legacy “will live through this series” and Xavier AD Greg Christopher says both schools “viewed the continuation … as non-negotiable.”

The Musketeers play 18 conference games in the Big East, compared to 16 in their former league, the Atlantic-10.
