JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Texas-Arlington rallied for two eighth inning runs and beat Arkansas State 8-7 in the Sun Belt Conference baseball tournament in Mobile, Alabama.

ASU had rallied to take a 7-6 lead before UTA’s Matt Shortall doubled in two runs in the eighth to lift the Mavericks to the win in Saturday’s game.

The loss eliminates Arkansas State from the tournament and the Red Wolves end the season at 32-27.

UTA advances to Sunday’s championship game.
