ROANOKE, W.Va. (AP) - A conference focusing on children’s health and well-being programs will be held this week at Stonewall Resort.

The conference includes a roundtable discussion on child welfare programs, adoption and foster care. Participants include U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, the Alliance for Children, the Children’s Home Society, other advocates and families.

Rockefeller’s office says the West Virginia Democrat will receive an award from the Alliance for Children and the Children’s Home Society during Wednesday’s conference.
