CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Former San Francisco point guard Avry Holmes has transferred to Clemson.

The school announced that Holmes had signed with the Tigers this week. Holmes is a 6-foot-2 guard from Salem, Oregon, who played two seasons with the Dons. He’ll have two seasons of eligibility left after sitting out next season because of NCAA transfer rules.

Clemson coach Brad Brownell said Holmes was a good shooter and decision maker who had two productive years with San Francisco. Holmes started all 33 games this year, averaging 12.5 points a game. He shot 41.9 percent on 3-pointers and helped the Dons to a 21-12 mark this past season.

Holmes joins incoming freshmen Gabe DeVoe and Donte Grantham in Clemson’s recruiting class.
