Less than two minutes after coming into the game, Cooper converted a pass from Obafemi Martins. Martins also set up Lamar Neagle for the tying goal in the 62nd minute. He has an MLS-leading six assists.
The Sounders (7-2-1) tied a club record with their fifth consecutive victory, extending their unbeaten streak to six and their league-leading point total to 22. They came from behind in five of the games during the unbeaten streak.

HOUSTON (AP) - Will Bruin scored early in the second half, and Houston held off Columbus for its second straight victory.
Bruin gave Houston (4-4-2) the lead in the 50th minute with a header off Brad Davis’ free kick. Davis’ kick from outside the left box curled in front of the goal, and Bruin headed it in from just outside the 6-yard box for his sixth goal of the season.
Justin Meram missed tying the game by inches in the 84th minute as his shot from above the half-circle clanked off the near post and out. The Crew (3-3-3) are winless in six straight games.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Clint Irwin made seven saves in Colorado’s fourth shutout in five games.
Irwin lowered his goals-against average to 0.83, making four critical stops to preserve the tie for the Rapids (4-2-3) in their first game since losing leading scorer Vicente Sanchez to a sprained knee.
Irwin got just enough of a touch on Chris Wondolowski’s 88th-minute shot to push it into the far post, where it caromed back out, costing San Jose (1-3-4) a chance for its second straight home victory.
The teams also tied 0-0 in Colorado on April 19.
