OZARK, Ark. (AP) - Police in Ozark say a 10-year-old is suspected of making a bomb threat at Ozark Upper Elementary School.

Ozark Police Chief Cory Tedford told the Times Record (https://bit.ly/1wqxI2u ) that the child is believed to have made a written bomb threat and that police are seeking charges of communicating a false alarm. Tedford said the case will be presented to juvenile authorities.

Details of the threat were not released.

The threat was made Monday, less than a week after another written threat was made at the school. Tedford says police interviewed a 9-year-old in the earlier case but that juvenile charges were not sought because state law prohibits charges against a juvenile younger than 10.

Tedford says the incidents are similar, but that there isn’t a clear motive in either case.
