DENVER (AP) - Denver police say a man is facing burglary and criminal trespassing charges after attempting to break into the home of a deputy sheriff and breaking into the home of a neighbor.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson says a man broke a window with a brick and a deputy sheriff who lives there chased him out on Sunday. Police say the man broke into another home where there were children inside. Those children got out safely and the deputy went inside and arrested the man.

According to KMGH-TV (https://tinyurl.com/l96gt63 ), the suspect had to be treated for multiple injuries from broken glass.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
