CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - The lawyer for a Corvallis man blamed for a fatal head on collision in August at North Albany says he has agreed to plead guilty to charges of criminal negligent homicide and driving under the influence of drugs.

Attorney Brett Jaspers says the agreement Wednesday with the Benton County district attorney’s office calls for a sentence of about six years for 32-year-old Damon Geoffrey Selves.

The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports (https://bit.ly/1pR2qeM ) a charge of possession of methamphetamine was dropped as part of the agreement.

The crash on Highway 20 killed 37-year-old Gabriel Ruiz Lopez of Eugene.
