WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A Newark man has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison for filing 300 false tax returns using stolen personal information.

Nineteen-year-old Festus Frimpong was sentenced Monday in federal court in Wilmington. Authorities say he is a citizen of Ghana, and faces deportation after he serves his prison term.

Prosecutors say Frimpong was involved in a plot in which personal information stolen from more than 1,000 people was used to seek refunds of $1.7 million.
