PERU, Ind. (AP) - About 300 workers have ended their two-week strike at a northern Indiana factory after approving a new contract.

The strike at the Schneider Electric plant in Peru began Oct. 6 in a dispute between the French-based company and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers over raises and giving up pension benefits.

Union negotiator Tom O’Heron tells the Kokomo Tribune (http://bit.ly/1yYaGSH ) that members voted Sunday to accept a new three-year contract that included a $1,600 bonus and increased company contributions to a new retirement plan.
