FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Two Fort Collins police rifles have been stolen from marked vehicles in northeast Fort Collins.

The break-ins were discovered Friday morning.

Authorities say the department-issued patrol rifles were stored in rifle locks inside the passenger compartments of the cars when they were removed.

Police said the cars were locked at the time of the break-ins.
