ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - St. Cloud State University’s stadium will see plenty of high school sports action this fall.

Because the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis has been torn down, Husky Stadium is expected to host more state tournament games than any other facility in Minnesota. Sixteen state soccer tournament games will be played on the field, including four championship games next Thursday.

WJON (http://bit.ly/1wlSvFv ) radio says Husky Stadium will also host a number of sectional football games, as well as eight quarterfinal and semifinal games.

The teams and their fans mean added revenue for the community. Kelly Sayre from the St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says they’ve been working with the teams to reserve hotel room and make other arrangements.
