ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - The first three of seven public forums being held by the statewide energy-saving group Efficiency Vermont are planned for this coming week.

Efficiency Vermont Director Jim Merriam plans to visit St. Albans, Barre and Lyndonville this week to give members of the public a chance to ask questions and provide feedback.

Efficiency Vermont promotes electric and heating efficiency programs around the state and has won national awards for making Vermont a leader in energy policy. It’s funded through a surcharge on electric bills.

This week’s forums, all set for 6 to 7:30 p.m., will be held Monday at the Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, Tuesday at Spaulding High School in Barre, and Wednesday at Lyndon State College’s Burke Mountain Room.
