PERINTON, N.Y. (AP) - The Monroe County Sheriff’s office is investigating the death of a man whose body was found submerged in a creek in a suburban Rochester park.

Deputies say the body of a man who appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s was found in a creek in Powder Mills Park in Perinton Friday afternoon. The body was submerged in water about three feet deep.

Chief Deputy Drew Forsythe tells media outlets that the death is being treated as suspicious.

The man’s identity has not been released.
